On September 5, the Colorado Secretary of State officially certified what was previously petition 82 for the November ballot. It is now designated as Amendment 65. The measure, drafted by Common Cause, instructs Colorado’s congressional delegation to support a constitutional amendment that would reverse the Citizens United ruling and ensure that all citizens, regardless of wealth, can express their views on a level playing field. Colorado Fair Share and COPIRG led efforts to gather 182,113 signatures in a monumental organizing drive this July.
